What we store, and what we don't
This page is short because the site collects very little. Everything below describes what actually happens in the code, not what a template says.
01No accounts, no sign-in
There is nothing to register for. Submitting a listing needs a link and a payment, and neither creates an account here.
02Payments never touch our servers
Checkout runs on Stripe. Payment details are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout and handled under their privacy policy. We never see them and never store them.
We keep the payment amount, the payment provider reference and the listing it belongs to, so we can update the board and handle payment questions.
03Cookies and browser storage
A cookie named stats_visitor holds a random identifier. It exists so the visitor counter doesn't count the same browser twice and so repeat clicks on the same listing within an hour don't inflate its click count.
It is first-party, contains no personal information, is not shared with anyone, and is not used to build a profile or follow you to other sites. Clearing it costs you nothing.
PVUV also uses cookies and browser storage for visitor and session identifiers and traffic-source information. The admin area sets a session cookie when you sign in.
04Traffic analytics
When enabled, PVUV receives page URLs, referrers, browser and device signals, and visit events to measure traffic and help distinguish human visits from automated activity. The numbers on the live stats page come from our own database. PVUV analytics are available in our private PVUV dashboard.
05IP addresses
Our visitor and click tables do not store IP addresses. For checkout rate limiting, an IP address is hashed with a secret before use.
Our hosting and analytics services receive network information, including IP addresses, when processing requests.
06What listings publish
A listing shows an app's name, icon, one-line description, link, and the amount paid for its position — all of it already public, and all of it the point of the board. The bid amount is deliberately public: the whole product is that price and rank are visible.
07Your rights
Ask us to remove a listing and we will, though under the rules that does not by itself refund a voluntary bid. Contact us about payment records or privacy requests. Stripe may also retain payment information under its own privacy policy.
This describes how IAPP works today. If that changes in a way that affects what we store, this page changes with it.
